Pennine Healthcare’s Running Club races ahead to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK
Team Pennine Running Club members and East Midlands Manufacturing Network member, Pennine Healthcare put in a stellar performance at the Derby 10K in March, raising over £600 to date in support of the company’s chosen charity for 2024, Prostate Cancer UK.
Pennine Healthcare is one of the UK’s leading, employee owned, manufacturers and distributors of single use, sterile Ward & Theatre Consumables and Custom Procedure Packs.
As an Employee-Owned Trust, it celebrates seeing its colleagues embody the company’s values beyond the workplace, particularly when in support of such a vital cause. The recent launch of its “The Heart of Life is Health” initiative underscores Pennine’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Participation of its employees in events like the Derby 10K exemplifies the company’s dedication to making a positive impact in the community, as well as to their own personal health.
Dan Wilson, Head of Marketing & Communications at Pennine Healthcare, said, “We are immensely proud of Rachel, Claire, Danny, Richard, Tara, Joe and Christian for their outstanding efforts in the Derby 10K, demonstrating our collective commitment to supporting important causes like Prostate Cancer UK”.
The company has planned further charity events throughout 2024, including the Business Fives Football Tournament and the 100-mile bike ride to Skegness.
