Derby Manufacturing Network

Derby’s reputation for automotive, aerospace and rail is world renowned. The city’s geographical footprint is vast, stretching out to Moor Lane and Sinfin, and including many sites of manufacturing powerhouse Rolls-Royce, together with Alstom Transport, the UK’s largest train factory. As a result, the city itself is home to a significant number of manufacturing businesses compared to other cities in the region.

The home of the Derby Manufacturing Network is the University of Derby which builds on the region's innovative heritage to offer industry-relevant training.

The university’s active involvement in the Derby Manufacturing Network enables manufacturers to get involved early in helping to shape the university’s business programmes and collaborations.
