Nottinghamshire Manufacturing Network

From a once thriving area, North Nottinghamshire’s economy was decimated virtually overnight with the end of coal mining. For decades, it has struggled to attract inward investment but its coal-mining heritage has also been the catalyst for high-precision engineering and all things metal.

Boosting excellent country-wide connections due to its proximity to the M1 and A1, the area has also quickly evolved to become a sizeable hub for warehousing and distribution.

Home of the Nottinghamshire Manufacturing Network is NTU in Mansfield, an innovative hub of Nottingham Trent University, helping to serve a local community beyond Nottingham city centre.

Do I qualify?

Participation in the Network is free and open to manufacturers of any size. The only criteria for joining are that:

  • You are a senior manager or leader
  • Your business is based in the region covered by East Midlands Chamber (namely Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire)
  • Your business makes something
