Leicester Manufacturing Network

Leicester’s heritage may well be the traditional bases of textiles and food, but the city is now pushing its way thorough in space and satellite technology. Its ambition is as a space-age city with space-age businesses and with a vision for highly imaginative products.

The home of Leicester Manufacturing Network is the University of Leicester’s Space Park Leicester, the country’s dedicated UK space and Earth observation science. It means the Network has a direct link into the Space Park’s research and enterprise partners which range from Airbus and Rolls-Royce to CGI and NASA.

Do I qualify?

Participation in the Network is free and open to manufacturers of any size. The only criteria for joining are that:

  • You are a senior manager or leader
  • Your business is based in the region covered by East Midlands Chamber (namely Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire)
  • Your business makes something
