Nottingham Manufacturing Network

The city of Nottingham may well be compact but it has always supported a very diverse set of manufacturers, from the makers of cricket bats to high-tech electronics.

The Nottingham Manufacturing Network has made its home at the Advanced Manufacturing Building on the University of Nottingham’s Jubilee campus. It means the Network has a direct link into the Institute for Advanced Engineering, with its excellent links to industry partners in sectors including aerospace, automotive, medical, instrumentation, defence, power, engineering, sustainable energy, textiles and clothing, recycling and consumer products.

The University of Nottingham offers strong wider credentials too: it is No. 2 in the UK for top employers (High Fliers Graduate Report 2023), No. 7 in the UK for research power (Research Excellence Framework 2021) and No. 16 in the UK (THE World University Rankings 2024).

The university’s active involvement in the Nottingham Manufacturing Network enables manufacturers to get involved early in helping to shape the university’s business programmes and collaborations.
